Thanks for stopping by! Awfully Awesome 80's is your 24/7 listener-supported internet radio guide to the 80's through the early 90's. We play lost and classic top 40 hits, but we also place a heavy emphasis on the minor charters and non-charters...or as we call them, bottom 45's. If you are a vintage MTV expert, then you have come to the right place! Special Mixcloud shows will be announced as time permits. If you have a general suggestion, then please use our chat widget in the lower right corner or the below contact form. If you have a song request, then please use the below Song Request Form; your request will be automatically queued for play in 90 minutes if it is already in the station's inventory or else I will receive an e-mail copy of your request. Please note that those who contribute to the "tip jar" get prompt acknowledgment of their requests, even though I try my best to fulfill all requests that are excellent fits to the rotation.

If you appreciate what we do, then please make use of our PayPal buttons on the site. You can donate a one-time amount or choose from 10 monthly subscription amounts; the donations will help enhance our programming and keep us on Live365. AWFULLY AWESOME 80'S NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT AND SONG RECOMMENDATIONS!

The below was a post I made earlier today in my Obscure MTV Facebook group at http://facebook.com/groups/obscuremtv:

As some of you already know, "Not only am I the president, but I am also a member..." Oh sorry, had a TV flashback there. Seriously, as some of you know, I also run a lil' ol' internet radio station called Awfully Awesome 80's that is striving to bring back what you heard during all of those glory days of MTV, no matter how overplayed, lightly played, mainstream, underground, ear-bleeding, sappy/sweet, loved, or hated the song may have been!

Here is your opportunity to submit a list of 50 recommendations of 80's songs that you feel that AA80's should be playing! They can be hits, misses or even ditties that your local spandex-wearing bar band managed to get played on your highly influential local rock station(being an AOR collector, I can tell you that some of those local bands should have hit the big time!)!

Awfully Awesome 80's is a listener-supported station that's on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The reason why I'm doing this is because, quite frankly, I haven't been seeing much listener support lately and I'm starting to wonder if the material is too varied or "out there." Please submit your list via the contact form at http://awfullyawesomeeighties.com(it's just above the Streamlicensing gold seal) and while you're there, take a listen either through the "Listen Live" button or download one of the three free mobile apps through my partnership with Nobex Radio. We are also on Tunein.com.
