Thanks for stopping by! Awfully Awesome 80's is your 24/7 internet radio guide to the 1980's and early 1990's(primarily the tunes that kept the 80's spirit alive!). We play the classic top 40 hits and the lost hits, but we also place a heavy emphasis on the minor charters and non-charters...or as we call them, bottom 45's. If you were a fan of obscure MTV artists, then you have come to the right place! Special shows will be announced as time permits. If you have a request or a suggestion or just want to say hi, then please use our chat widget in the lower right corner. There is also a song request form below on the right sidebar.

If you appreciate what we do, then please make use of our PayPal buttons on the site. You can donate a one-time amount or choose from 10 monthly subscription amounts; the donations will help enhance our programming and keep us on respected broadcasting platforms like Mixcloud and Live365.

A Live365 stream will be launched during the first week of November. Please show your support! For a donation of $15.00 a month, you will get the following perks:

Unlimited listening

5 requests per day(80's-early 90's charting or non-charting singles only)

Ban a specific song from the rotation for 1 month

Your own 2 hour theme block every other month(all AOR hits, all new wave, all college rock, etc.)

A progress thermometer can be found below the Paypal buttons. If there isn't enough interest shown by the end of 2019, then I will need to shut down this station and switch to being exclusively a once-in-a-while podcaster. It's up to you!

Bottom 45's/Other Requests/Stuff You Probably Won't Hear On Other 80's Stations:

16. The Feelies - Away - '88

18. Nik Kershaw - Wouldn't It Be Good - '84
19. The Untouchables - Free Yourself - '84 - top 30 hit in the UK in '85, but didn't do much here...this is better than a lot of those highly collectible northern soul records of the late 60's!

21. The Blue Nile - Tinseltown In The Rain - '84

Thanks for all of the requests! In case you haven't heard, it's "UK Week" on AA80's...request your favorite 80's hit or rarity from an artist that was from England, Wales, Scotland or northern Ireland!
