Thanks for stopping by! Awfully Awesome 80's is your 24/7 listener-supported internet radio guide to the 80's through the early 90's. We play lost and classic top 40 hits, but we also place a heavy emphasis on the minor charters and non-charters...or as we call them, bottom 45's. If you are a vintage MTV expert, then you have come to the right place! Special Mixcloud shows will be announced as time permits. If you have a general suggestion, then please use our chat widget in the lower right corner or the below contact form. If you have a song request, then please use the below Song Request Form; your request will be automatically queued for play in 90 minutes if it is already in the station's inventory or else I will receive an e-mail copy of your request. Please read the "New Request Policy" post in the below blog for more information on requests as I have new rules for those who are willing to be sponsors and for those who are non-contributors.

If you appreciate what we do, then please make use of our PayPal buttons on the site. You can donate a one-time amount or choose from 10 monthly subscription amounts; the donations will help enhance our programming and keep us on Live365. Yes, Awfully Awesome 80's is legitimate and pays artist royalties!

17. Patti Austin - Every Home Should Have One - '83 - remix version
18. David Bowie - Underground - '86
19. Orange Juice - Flesh Of My Flesh - '83(remember Edwyn Collins of "A Girl Like You" 90's fame?)

22. Drivin' N' Cryin' - Can't Promise You The World - '88
23. Intimate Strangers - Let Go - '87(it was in the movie "My Demon Lover")
24. DNA - Doctors Of The Universe - '83(Rick Derringer and Carmine Appice's mix of AOR, prog and new wave)
25. Frozen Ghost - Should I See - '87
26. Frozen Ghost - Round And Round - '88
27. Frozen Ghost - Step By Step - '88

Why the love for Frozen Ghost? Dale, who runs the "I Want My MTV" Facebook group, is a fan of the Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman series and movies, and #27 was in the '89 "Bionic Showdown" movie(it featured Sandra Bullock in one of her first on-screen roles, as a cyborg). He requested it and he occasionally promotes my station in his group, so it's the least I can do; I also figured it would be a good time to throw in the group's 2 best-known U.S. tracks.

Tune into the station at http://awfullyawesomeeighties.com, join in our chat room, and look for the link to our Facebook group while you're there! You can also find us on Tunein.com, Nobex Radio(free apps for Google Play, Itunes and Blackberry), Reciva Radio, etc.

The hits and misses will keep on coming! Heck, this weekend I may get a bit dopey and add some long-forgotten tracks from Commander Cody, The Slickee Boys, The Finders and Joe "King" Carrasco!
